In addition to our on-going programs, this coming
school year, The Malibu Special Education Foundation will
work collaboratively with Santa Monica based administrators
in sponsoring a program to create a framework in which parents
and administrators can forge meaningful relationships and
cut down on the costly battles in court over services.
We are also planning on supporting critical teacher resources
(partial) with every special education Malibu/Santa Monica
based faculty member who lost funding from federal cuts to
the Medi-cal program...it's a big commitment and very expensive
but there are no more funding streams available to meet the
needs of all these students in both our cities.
